This is a photoelectric rotary measuring device, which directly converts the measured angular displacement into a digital signal, that is, a high-speed pulse signal. It can be said to be an important component in industrial control. In our use process, it is inevitable that failure will occur after a long time of use, what should we do?                                                  Rotary encoder cannot produce correct waveform

The problem is that the rotary encoder itself is malfunctioning, such as damage to internal components, which prevents the correct waveform from being generated, which ultimately results in malfunction. Solution: If this happens to the rotary encoder, the solution is to replace the encoder.

                                              Rotary encoders sometimes fail to detect during rotation

Most of the problems like this are caused by software problems. Generally, the MCU query detection takes a long time, and twisting too quickly will cause missed detection. The solution is to shorten the query detection interval.

                                                                         The axis of rotation will deform

This situation is generally due to the over-tightening of the lock nut that fixes the nut or locks the potentiometer during installation. The recommendation given here is that after the nut is locked, the rotating shaft is higher than the surface of the nut by more than about lmm.

                                                                                           Inflexible rotation

During the operation of the encoder, the coaxial operation mode is adopted, so there will be a situation where the rotation is not flexible, so what phenomena cause this phenomenon? Generally, it is because there are some problems in the joint lubrication between the equipment and the shaft during installation, or because there is some dust or some impurities in the internal shaft that affect the operation of the encoder shaft. When this happens, the general measure is to drip a small amount of gasoline on it, so as to help the encoder to replace the operation.

                                                         Rotary encoder + 5V power supply voltage is too low

The cause of this phenomenon is the power failure or the resistance of the internal components of the encoder is too large and the voltage is lost. In this case, the power supply should be repaired or the internal components of the encoder should be replaced.

                                       The shielding assembly of the rotary encoder is not equipped or comes off

This will cause interference signals to be involved, resulting in unstable waveforms and ultimately inaccurate encoder operation. This point should pay attention to the configuration of shielding components.

                                                                                            Poor contact

There are two cases. When the first kind of reed is not elastic enough, the second kind is the poor contact between the pin and the carbon film. Both cases can be repaired. In the first case, the reed contact and the root of the reed are pressed down properly, and in the second case, the pincers are clamped with pliers.
